Accomplishments

  • Designed, edited and realized textual and graphic content for the Cheyenne Software web sites.
  • Designed, edited, developed and produced CheyInfo CD, a technical support CD-ROM product based on the Folio Bound VIEWS hypertext engine. Winner of Network VAR magazine's Integrator's Choice Award for Best New Product by a Vendor, 1995.

Responsibilities

  • Developing content, designing, and administering the Cheyenne Software and Cheyenne Software Technical Support web sites.
  • Developing, writing, editing and administering Cheyenne's in-house technical support information retrieval system, based on the Folio VIEWS hypertext engine. Information from this resource was circulated to Cheyenne personnel and partners around the world, and regularly ported to the CheyInfo CD and the Technical Support web server for public distribution.
  • Developing course materials and curricula for in-house training programs.
  • Writing and editing technical and informational documents, performing system administration tasks and tracking usage of the corporate fax-on-demand system, CompuServe forum, and BBS.
  • Writing and editing technical support documents for Cheyenne's Windows NT, NetWare, and Unix-based networking products, as well as DOS and Windows-based workstation products.
  • Obtaining and evaluating networking, electronic publishing and Internet software products for web and CD-ROM development.
  • Provided comprehensive technical support for Cheyenne networking products to resellers and endusers via telephone and CompuServe forum (April, 1994 - November, 1994).

Accomplishments

  • Maintained and expanded Novell network as it grew to include 60 workstations, 20 modems, 100 remote serial printers and 8 in-house laser and dot matrix printers. Upgraded to NetWare 3.11, November 1991, adding a DAT tape backup system and a fax server.
  • Trained sales staff, performed and supervised installations, and provided technical support for 250 users of Engineered Business Systems' and Chase Credit Systems' remote PC applications with which clients can access TRW, Trans Union and Equifax credit repository information online through the Cobra host system.
  • Provided in-house technical support to users of EBS's CRIS and Chase's Cobra (proprietary credit reporting systems), WordPerfect 5.1 and Lotus 123. Later planned and implemented migration of managerial and supervisory staff from DOS to Microsoft Windows for Workgroups including Microsoft Office and Symantec's Q&A for Windows.
  • Implemented a system for producing and maintaining Property Inspection Reports using Delrina's Performs Pro Plus to custom design forms to clients' specifications.
  • Produced company advertising materials, brochures and presentations using Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows-based desktop publishing software.
  • Planned and designed network expansion project for the firm's new headquarters in Mitchel Field, NY, including migration from Thin Ethernet to 10-Base-T Token Ring.
  • Developed an employee production tracking system using Microsoft Excel.
  • Installed and configured proprietary credit reporting network for the company's Dallas, TX division.
  • Participated in initial business requirement and design stage of internal corporate software development project, based in the corporate national operations center in Dallas, TX.
