Hardware Experience

• Use of mini- and microcomputers dating back to 1974.
• Assembly, maintenance, and upgrades of Intel-based PCs (workstations and servers) with Intel processors from 80286 to Pentium 4, including purchasing, installation, troubleshooting, and replacement of all major components.
• Extensive experience with SCSI adapters and peripherals, including hard disk drives, CD-ROM/DVD drives, tape drives, and autochangers.
• Installation, use, and maintenance of scanners and laser, inkjet, dye sublimation, and dot matrix printers.
• Maintains an extensive in-house computer laboratory, capable of running all Microsoft Windows, Unix/Linux, and Novell NetWare operating systems in a multi-LAN environment

Networking Experience

• Installation and maintenance of network hardware, including network interface adapters, UTP cables, hubs, wireless access points, switches, and routers.
• Extensive study of and familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, including protocol analysis, client and server installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, and the standards ratification process.
• Installation and maintenance of network servers, including e-mail, database, Internet, and infrastructure servers.
• Multiplatform experience with networking services, including DNS, DHCP, e-mail, Web, and FTP.
